    Hi there,

How do I match frame to the top layer in FCP? Say for the most part my edit is on Video Layer 1, so match frame is fine. Every now and then I have a couple of clips layered on top of each other on Layer 2, 3 etc. But the Match Frame function just matches to what’s on V1, even if that’s not actually visible.

I’ve checked the manual, and tried combinations of modify keys.

    No luck.

    TIA

    Toby

Auto Select the track you want to match frame. In FCP 5, you can also select the clip w/o worrying about auto select.

    Interesting.
How much has the Auto Select been “de-emphasized” in FCP 5?

I think that’s the only change to autoselect isn’t it Rob?
