Match frame back to file from sequence
I have a bunch of clips from my Sony NX5U, transcoded to ProRes from MTS.
I stacked the clips in a timeline so my client could have one BITC DVD with all the clips. I made the timeline timecode match the clips. I have, essentially, created a “stack reel” sequence of all my footage, with matching timecode.
Now I want to use the stack reel as my source, but when I match back to do some effects or speed manipulation, FCP only takes me back to the stack reel sequence, and not to the original clip (or file).
Short of double-clicking on the stack reel, then double-clicking on the indvidual clip, is there any way to just match from my new sequence, all the way back to the original transcoded ProRes clip?
I’ve tried f, shift f, option command f, nothing seems to work. And “reveal master clip” is grayed out when I’m working in my new sequence (that is using my “stack reel” sequence as a source).
Thanks for any ideas.
