  • Mastering Plug-In and Reverb?

I’m getting down to the last few steps of my mix and now I want to experiment with adding a touch of reverb.

I’m using a plug-in called “Mastering-Mild” that ships default. It seems to give me that finishing touch more than any other Mastering pre-set, including the advance features where you can control individual settings. However, being that the one I’m using is just the “Standard” plug-in, I only have an amount slider and I can’t see what effect it’s having on the VO (as in what elements it’s adding).

Can anyone confirm that any time I’m adding a Mastering plug-in of any kind with Adobe (Standard or Advanced), that it is infact adding a tinge of Reverb as well? I’ve been adding Convolution Reverb AFTER my Mastering step, but I’m starting to think this is redundant if I’m already adding it during the Mastering phase. Also, I don’t want to be adding Reverb to my VO twice.

    Can anyone confirm this?

    Thnx!
