Can someone please tell me where the master volume is on xpress pro hd or if it has one. Maybe I’m having one of those days but it seems like my old versions of xpress dv had a master volume on the right hand side of the audio tool. If I’m an idiot just tell me!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

You are an idiot! Actually, you’re not, but it was fun saying it. However, there is no master volume control that I know of. There is a global volume adjustment on the audio mix tool. Is that what you were thinking of? It’s not, is it? Volume control is on the speakers.

    Cheers!

Actually there is a Master Volume control that controls the output volume and it’s in two places that I can think of. One is on the Audio Tool, (you may have to expand the view by clicking the speaker icon?) the other is on the Timeline if you’re viewing audio meters in the Timeline you will have a speaker icon to the left of the meters, press and hold it and a slider will appear.

I had the feeling when I said there was no master volume control that, knowing Avid, there probably was one that I just didn’t know about. There’s so much depth to Avid, I think that might be the thing that sets it apart from the rest of the editing softwares out there. Oh, and by the way, you forgot to call me an IDIOT!!
