I know you can adjust audio levels via each layer, but is there a master (or global)volume level adjustment in after effects?

I do realize I could render and export just the audio… make the adjustment in another program and then reimport… but is there not a way of doing it right in AE?

Yes there is a Master controller for Audio in Ae.

    Press “Cntr/Cmnd +4” or go to Windows>Audio.
This will open the Audio Controller on the Top right hand side in Standards Workspace.
You can Increase the volume of all Audio Layers with just one Control.
