I find myself using some effects somewhat frequently on the master (final output) track of both the audio and video tracks.

For instance, on the Video FX I often use the “Broadcast Colors” filter or other filters that can be applied before final output.

For the audio, I use several mixers, limiters, etc.

However, it’s a pain in the b*** to have to add each plugin to each project individually and set the presets. Surely there must be a way to do this with scripting.

I have found several samples that apply FX on a Track level. I don’t know how to change a script to apply the effect to the final track only.

I don’t see the point in adding “Broadcast Colors” to ALL the tracks in a project, only before the final output.

    Any advice is appreciated. 🙂

Are you looking for an existing solution or you want to write the script yourself?

Are you aware that if you drag an effect to the preview window,
its applied to every track? (Applying to the Master track)

I was looking to write my own script or at least get some help. Other scripts I’ve seen apply FX to many events (or all events) on the timeline.

I’m not afraid to learn how to create my own scripts (never worked with C# though), but have done some work in Java and the syntax seems pretty similar.

I guess I’ll have to search through the API’s to find the ones I need.
