  • Master clip stops playing after (3-5) minutes but timeline continues

Posted by Eclip5e on November 4, 2005 at 3:15 pm

I’ve dropped 2 master clip source videos onto 2 video tracks, but they stop playing after about 3-5 minutes into the clip. The video frame freezes, and the audio stops. The timeline keeps going like its playing normally.

The clip is a raw avi from a miniDV camera, uncompressed NTSC video.

    any ideas?

Does the same happen when putting the clips end to end on the same video track?

What spec is your setup? (CPU, Ram, Drives, Premier version and OS etc.)

It happens if i do end-to-end, different tracks, different sequence. I capture the video using Microsoft Movie Maker since Premiere doesn’t like to properly detect my Panasonic GS120 camera. It also happens with other cameras as well, so thats not the problem. It also happens with other sources of video as well, not just stuff from cameras.

Premiere cannot handle the DV codec Movie Maker exports (DirectShow type 1). Try capturing with ScenalyzerLive…it is the cats meow! scenalyzer.com

Its works, but it just stops after a while. Are you saying it doesn’t work at all? Because i can view it.
