  Master Audio cannot be turned on

  I am trying to use an aiff file for reference cutting in a current project. I imported the audio and it played, but it seems when I press undo or hit a key it turns my master audio and the track audio off. I am able to turn the track audio back on in the timeline, but cannot turn on the Master audio track. It is not the mute button, but the activation button. Any advice would help. Thank you.
