I’ve been making video projects from sony vegas for a long time, and everything has been fine. And then out of nowhere, one of my projects got a bug or something. I pasted one clip into the projects and all the clips got replaced with other media that wasnt even in the projects. I tried installing vegas again but the information was already in the registry. I want to rid my computer of sony vegas comepletely, and start all over. How can I do that?

If you’re using Vegas Pro, get Pro 10.0d (just released yesterday) as it has a LOT of bug fixes.

Report this to SCS. Others have had this happen recently in 10C (some say it was prior to V10), but no one can make it happen. Random bugs are the worst…

I too have experienced this problem in 2 projects.

This issue was reported on the Sony Creative Support forum as critical issue as well as being a potential candidate for fix in 10d, but due to its transient and hard to reproduce nature, I suspect it did not make it. I could not see it in the list of fixes :-(.

I believe the ‘workaround’ was to reimport or copy the media, using a different file name and replace all the affected clips on the time line. I have not tried it since I was able to render out my projects without need for further changes. I could see the gremlins had crept back in after I restarted my PC.
