mass rename layers
Hi:
I would like to know if there is a way to rename many layers at once.
For example I want to select a few and add a prefix to all of them.

crgreen.com has a script called selected_layers_renamer that may help you out (i actually have never tried this one, but the name suggest it might help).
download it, make sure it keeps its ‘.jsx’ tag and place it in the after effects/scripts folder. the next time you run after effects select the layers to rename, choose file>scripts>selected_layers_renamer and see how it works.
