  • Mass change of texts on the timeline???

Posted by David Timar on April 28, 2007 at 6:37 pm

    Hello Everybody,

I looked for a way to apply a change to all my text events on a timeline, but it seems I am stuck. No plugins could do anything either.

All I want to do, is increase the font size and take the font shadows to a lower value on all my text events. Is this possible somehow, without having to open ALL the text events and make the change one-by-one?

Thank You in advance for any suggestion.

    David

You get to change them all one by one.

    Hi Dave,

All I can think of which you have already thought about is to set up your text and font size then copy, paste and just retype your text.

    Thank you for the input.

One thing that keeps puzzling me though. There are currently text presets in Vegas. If I select one of these, it applies the effect TO THE TEXT I HAVE ALREADY TYPED in the event.

If I create my own preset, it saves the text information as well, which means I cannot apply it to any other text event, without it overwriting my text in that event.

Is there a way to create a text preset, that acts similar to the ones already in Vegas, and applies only the attributes to another text event without affecting the text of that event?

    (hope that was clear :))

    Thanks
    David

yep, an annoying point. hopefully there is some way around it, but for me it’s currently (once the editor is open):

CTRL A, CTRL C, apply preset, CTRL A, CTRL V

    🙁
