    Masking the Fill but NOT the Alpha

    I have a pre-multiplied QT. I am trying to mask some stuff out of the fill layer but NOT affect the alpha layer.
    I am sure there is an easy way of doing this but I don’t know it.

    Just duplicate your footage and use the unchanged layer as a matte on the work layer.
