  • Masking layer’s size change problem.

    Hey everybody,

so I used a layer with a mask on it to mask out my head from a video in a layer beneath it (Alpha Inverted)

anyway, when i zoomed out i noticed the mistake i made and that the mask’s layer is smaller than the comp.

the problem is , is when i press Comp Size on that layer properties , it resizes the mask aswell (doesnt fit anymore.)

Is there anyway to solve this? make the layer bigger without making the mask itself grow ?

    Thanks in advance!

You could just Cut the mask, resize the layer, and Paste it back.
If you’ve keyframed the mask, select all the keyframes, Cut those, resize the layer, and Paste em back.

the only keyframe that is activated while shaping the mask is the mask shape, and this solution doesnt really seem to work
