Masking is not working properly, and I don’t know why!
Hello!
I am a relatively new to After Effects. I love making instagram edits. For one edit, I am trying to do a split-screen transition where the clip is masked in halves and one goes to the right, and the other mask goes to the left, and it splits the screen to another clip. I am trying to do this, but when I mask the other half, it does not show up. It is a black half of the screen.
I apologize if this is a really easy fix, I just can’t seem to find anything to help me.

Invert the mask?

If I get your idea correctly, you’ll need two layers of Yeah.mov. One gets the top half mask, the other the bottom half mask. Then you animate them separately. Does that help?
