December 10, 2009 at 5:29 pmThanks! So do I make a new solid or a null object?, cover what i want to mask with paint, and then make it a track mat?

December 10, 2009 at 7:15 pmYou do that to a solid over the layer you want to reveal and apply it as a track matte. A null isn’t anything but a controller, can’t apply effects to it.
