June 5, 2007 at 9:45 amI believe that the mask is a 2d property. What are you trying to achieve ???

June 5, 2007 at 11:44 amYep, because a layer is a flat 2D plane, and a mask on a layer has to reside on that plane.
I echo Mark’s question: what are you trying to achieve? Maybe we can find another way.

June 5, 2007 at 4:22 pmThe only case I can think of that works easily is if you had a sqaure mask the size of the layer (select layer, then double click the Rectangular Mask Tool), make it a 3D layer, then as you animate the layer in 3D space, the layer corners will be the same as the mask vertices, giving you a lot of control ovwer their placement.
Otherwise, not so easy.
Echo… What are you tring to do… do… do… ?
