    Mask out parts of spotlight

    Hi,

    I am struggeling in masking out an Area of a spotlight.

    Following Layers:

    2. Solid Layer with CC Radial Fast Blur (looks like a spotlight)
    1. BG_picture

    When I am now creating a mask in layer 2, nothing happens. The mask does not affect anything of the spotlight even if it is set to substract.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Sam. Precompose your Spotlight layer, then mask it out in your main composition.
