  Mask Generator Question

  I’ve often used the mask generator to let the darker areas of a video show through. My question is whether it is possible to do this while somehow keeping the color of what is left instead of going black and white. Sometimes I’ll use a color corrector but that is just not good enough for what I want. Is there another Vegas tool that can do this that I don’t know about? I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0.
