Hi guys. I have been beating my head against my desk all day trying to figure this one out. Maybe I’m crazy but I just can’t seem to get a handle on it. Here goes:

I have some footage shot with a crane that is doing some pretty significant moves that I have successfully tracked using perspective corner pin. The footage contains a wall of squares, and each square needs light up with colors randomly. My goal is to use a single solid, create multiple masks on the solid, and animate the masks’ opacity. My problem is the corner pin data affects the masks so I can’t draw them precisely to fit the squares in the footage. I have tried precomping about 5 different ways but to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

In that case, I would recommend you to render the layer with corner pin data out, in stead of precomp it. See if it works.

First off, you should be using mocha. Secondly, post your video here so that we can have a look at the source footage.
