  • marking only one track without deselecting all other tracks – possible?

Posted by Clint Wood on November 28, 2006 at 11:20 am

    Hey
I have 2 video and 4 audio tracks. Can I mark just the 1st video track with a single click (e.g. plus hotkey) without deselecting all other tracks? That would be very helpful 🙂

I’m working on a AVID Xpress Pro

    thank you
    c

mmmh… i always use strg+alt+a and the select the track.
it’s not quite the solution your were searching for but it’s fast.

control + shift + a followed by whatever key your track is mapped to…
    if I understand the question!

Exactly. Unselect all tracks with Ctrl+Shift+A, then hit the hotkey for the track you want. Open your keyboard settings to see where the video tracks are currently mapped, and if they aren’t mapped then hit Ctrl+3 to open your command palette and map them wherever you want. Remember, if you hold Shift you get a second row of buttons to map them to. Have fun.

    Mike.
