markers to color?
If I import markers into my timeline instead of master clips, am I going to have problems down the road in terms of exporting to color or recapturing media from my master tapes at a higher resolution. Do I need to be modifying my markers to subclips first, or am I ok?

Your markers are subclips. You should conform your timeline to the original master clips if you’re planning on sending to Color.
