    hi guys!
funny question…,im editing music videos in premier for a long time now…,im using the * key to add markers to the time line to mark the beat of music, the problem is that when i move the clip(the audio) i loose the mark,is there a way to mark the clip and not the time line?

there must be a way…cs5 by the way

    cheers!

You can set a clip marker by selecting the clip and going to the “marker” menu and select SET CLIP MARKER -> UNNUMBERED. By default there’s no shortcut key for this, but you can create one in “Keyboard Customization” in the EDIT menu.

Another thing you could try is set sequence markers like you’ve been doing, then when you’re done marking beats, nest the sequence into a new sequence- then all the sequence markers will become clip markers in the nested clip.

You can put the markers on the music clip by opening the clip from the timeline or Project Panel in the Source Monitor and adding the clip markers by using the * key.
