  marker problem?

  I think I may know why my screen is blank. It looks like my timeline is no longer recognising my chapter markers. I had to reset them whan I moved a clip out. I went to each marker and deleted the marker, re-positioned and put in a new marker. The count kept going up and seemed to not remove the old one from the count? Is there a way to clear the timeline and start over? Also, I use lots of compression markers for cross dessolves and fast action. Would this mess it up? Thanks
