    Set a duration for the marker.
    This will let you see text in the timeline as well as in the Program Monitor.

    Thanks for the tip Ann. Just tried it.

    Scott,
    You can also single click your sequence in the Bin then click on the “Markers” Tab above it. You will see all the markers and info along with a thumbnail of the clip the marker is on. Click on one of the images in the Markers tab and the timeline will jump there. Love that. You can also drag the tab off to another area of your screen.
    Now if the markers only had colors.

    Both suggestions most certainly helped. I very much like Adobe’s approach in using markers, better than FCP7.
