Marker Colors
Posted by Justin Gray on November 6, 2012 at 4:13 pmIs there a way to manually control the color of markers aside from forcing the marker to be a “Comment” “Encore Chapter” or “Web Link” marker. This seems elementary.

November 6, 2012 at 10:01 pmThanks Kevin. Man, my feature request is getting HUGE!!!!!!!!!! I have an Excel sheet that grows every day. It seems to me that there are some very basic functionalities that could be added to really make Premiere shine. But, unfortunately for me, having edited for going on 20 years, I see the lack of these basic functionalities as oversights on Adobe’s end that need to be corrected. My workflow is highly customized and my speed and proficiency is based on being able to customize my editorial experience to the level in which I have become accustomed. To Adobe’s credit they have been highly responsive. Hopefully they keep it up and give our Avid budgets a reason to be nervous. But they’re not quite there yet.

It’s likely on our radar, but a feature request would help: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish Keep in mind that it took 7 versions for “another popular NLE” to have colored markers.Kevin Monahan

March 27, 2014 at 8:38 pmHey guys,
Besides not having the choice to customize color markers, we don’t have the choice either on making the marker comments appear a little clearer??
It’s such a horrible small red rectangle background with a very thin font, it’s so hard to read!! What’s the point of having the option to comment markers if it’s so difficult to read? Makes going through the footage that much slower….Nathalie Karouni // Broadcast and Film Editor

June 15, 2015 at 3:01 pmAny change on this? I still can’t find a way to change the colors of the markers. It’s hard to read black text over olive green. I would suggest at least resetting the default color to one of the other colors.
