Mapping animation onto 3D objects?

Hi,

does anyone know how to map an animation onto a 3d object? I’m trying to achieve a look similar the screenshot below. Link here for animations

My guess at the moment is that this is modelled in C4d then mapped in after effects somehow? Any ideas/help would be great

You could design animations in AE and then apply them as textures in Cinema 4D. Or you can use plugins like Paint and Stick or RE:Map UV to apply that stuff in AE later.

Thanks! I’ve started looking into the textures option and will check Paint and stick too
