  • mapping a png to a disc…

I’ve created a disc and mapped a png with alpha onto the disc but I’m getting a white halo all the way around the image almost like the map isn’t big enough for the disc. The png is 2000×2000 so I don’t think it’s a size problem.

Since both the disc and png are perfect circles, how can I get rid of the white halo?

Turn of texture filtering (will require you to crank antialiasing way up, so it may not be that sensible) or adjust your texture. Either make it slightly larger or fill the surrounding pixels with the same color as your current edges. This is called dilation and is a common requirement to hide texture seams.

I adjusted the x and y sizes and it worked fine. Thanks again for the help. 😎
