I can easily put a map or video on any of animators primitive solids. I can’t get a map or video to show up on a model i create and import as 3d studio file. I follow the same step by step procedure as with a primitive but it doesn’t work. Am i missing something or is mapping to a 3ds file something that animator won’t do.

    Hi James,

I don’t use 3DS but what you need to make sure is that you are exporting your object including the UV coordinates.

If this doesn’t help, you could send me the object (serge at nyc-visual dot com) I am sure we could make it work.

    Salut,
    Serge

    Hi Serge,
Thanks for the response. I looked further down the posts and found some info that got me on the right track. I also found out that Animator apparently doesn’t like gray scale graphics. Every time I tried to put a photo(gray scale) on a plane it never mapped right. When I took it to RGB in Photoshop, it mapped perfectly. Wonder why that is?
