Map Data and Geolayers 3
Hey all,
Wondering if anyone has had much experience with Geolayers 3? I have a decent handling of it but just got a spreadsheet from a client with 200+ postcodes on a spreadsheet.
I have used Google’s “My Maps” to take that spreadsheet and create pins. All going well so far. I can then export as a KML file and import it into Geolayers in After Effects. That’s when it stops working. I have discovered however, that if I just manually place a point on the map on My Maps, and export that as a KML, it works.
So there’s something happening where the points from the spreadsheet are showing on My Maps, but differ to points that are manually placed.
Anyone have any tips on how to do this? Or maybe a totally different workflow? They just want the classic “Here’s all our locations” map with a million pins pops up, but I dont want to have to manually place all those pins as that would take me a lifetime aha.
Many thanks,
John
