Mantiuk Tone Mapping
Not sure if this is even possible…but…I want to emulate HDR and Tonemapping with video. The HDR part probably doesn’t make much sense. But the tone mapping seems to make lots of sense IMO.
I want to create a segment in one of my videos to have the Mantiuk ’06 tone mapping look. Are there any plug-ins or techniques? I’m not looking for timelapse (which is also cool), but rather pure video.

Well, this something that really excites me, creatively.

Try duplicating the Track and using one or two of the Compositing Blends to adjust the combined effect.
You could also experiment with the Colour Curves Fx – less or more contrast.
But basically it’s about getting a more saturated, shadow lightening.
Great question you’ve asked. And unfortunately, one that is not asked enough. It’s got me going!
