I just recently learned that it is imperative to keep FCP project file sizes under 100MB, or the project files begin to corrupt. I was told that deleting unnecessary files was a good way to avoid this. I was wondering if anybody might be able to tell me what I can consider an unnecessary file, especially since I am still working on the project. In other words, can I delete things like render files for stills and audio, and then re-render? Or are there other things I can be doing?

    Thanks so much,
    Matt

Render files have nothing to do with the project file size. They’re not part of the project. Get rid of unnecessary sequences, or break the project down into parts, make different sections different projects.

    All the best,
