managing media on multiple drives
I need some suggestions. I have 12 fw drives plus drives on two computers. All drives are pretty full mostly due to duplications. I have Doublet Scan but it is really hard to use it on many huge drives at once. I use CD Finder (which is a boon!) to see what is on drives but I need some way to compare. I’ve tried copying contents of all drives into documents in filemaker and into Excel in attempt to search specifically for files by name, but can’t make that work. Does anybody have any suggestions? I just had a drive go down that had three copies of the same file on it and there were no copies of that file anywhere else. I should have started systematically but I never have had a system and now …. eeeeeeeeek! Any suggestions will be gratefullly appreciated. Please go easy on the scolding. I feel bad enough already.
