So I have made a water blob / droplet in After Effects using CC Mr. Mercury…. and have added lighting to it. I have it looking like I want, but now I am trying to figure out how to make the water blob shape customized, like one I have drawn in illustrator.

Basically I don’t want the blob to be round anymore, and want it in the shape of lets say, an eagle…

I have tried masking it, and although it works, I lose all depth on the edges, including the lighting and bevel.

I can send an image of what I have done if that helps…

Any ideas how to approach this? Trying to wrap my head around this.

But you can research the topic here and in other AE forums. The problem is trying to morph from an image that has been created by a filter into an image created by out of vectors. Can't be done. You will need to render the MrMercury movie. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
