I’m going to be scanning about 1,000 pictures for a client who also wants an index sheet with thumbnails and the file name for each image. Does anyone know of a program that can take all of my scans and automatically make a thumbnail index sheet? If not is there an easy way to do this in Photoshop?

One program is named Photoshop. Check the automation option under Files.

I’m aware of the fact that I can open a bunch of files and use automate to quickly resize them. But what about arranging all the thumbnails neatly into one document with their file names displayed? I figured someone out there would have come up with a way to do that part fairly easily.

Contactsheets are these days made with Bridge, which is included with Photoshop.
