    Hi!
I’ve seen this effect in several music videos and in snowboard- and skateboard videos.

I think this effects is really cool, and I’ve loved to know how its done… The first seconds of this music video shows the effects I’m talking of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldNS4lTzOFU

I’m just guessing, but I’ve always thought this effect can be achieved in After Effects? Maybe as a plugin you can buy somewhere?

    Thanks for all replies 🙂

I think an animated Mask (Animate Mask Shape and/or Mask Expansion and/or Mask feather) on an Adjustment layer, with the effects Fast Blur and then Levels (Individual Controls)(reduce the Input White of the Red and Green.

Aharon does essentially the same without the mask, here:

Yes, I see what you mean, and I also believe you can make this effect “step-by-step” like that. But since I’ve seen this effect being used in almost all snowboardfilm-trailers (usually 16mm films), and tons of other places, I’ve almost sure there must by an easier and more standarized way to do it. Anyone know anything?
