  • Making text spin around a 3d sphere on the same axis

Hello, I’m sorry if i’m posting in the wrong place. This is my first time to use this forum so please excuse any mistakes.
I pretty new to using Boris Red. I have an older version 2.5.2 just never got around to putting it to use.
I’m trying to make a text logo spin around a 3d sphere. But the text is always out infront of the sphere instead of wrapping around it so that the text is only seen when it’s on the front side of the sphere.

Please help me out. Im including a screen shot of how i set it up and an example of the what it looks like in preview.

This forum is like at ghost town. Try this link I hope it can help. Boris is a very good app, I usually search with google to learn how to use it. Also the tutorials on their web site are a big help.

    Hi Chris,

Are you looking to do this inside RED right now, or are you looking to do this via another means, like BCC Title Studio or BCC Extruded Text? We made a tutorial via Avid FX, which uses the same interface/workflow as Boris RED, which you can view here –

    Hope this helps.

Thank you Jon. I use BCC Titler and this was helpful. Not exactly the same interface but similar enough for me to see how easy it really is.
