Making someone skinnier
My experience is with creating short clips for media kits and web deployment. I’ve recently been asked to make someone appear skinnier in a video. I’m not entirely sure what the best approach to this is, or the tools that I need to do this. I currently use Final Cut, Photoshop, Flash, for video creation. I’d hate to have to export to Flash and edit frame by frame, but…
Can someone point me in the right direction, and save me a ton of time? Thanks in advance.

I would guess that the EASIEST way would be to just go into the ‘Motion’ tab and then ‘Distort’ and set it to 3 or 4. Then zoom in to 104 or 105%…whatever it takes to eliminate the black bars you’ve created on the sides of the image.
Shoot in front of a background that’s a hanging cloth or other backdrop and no one will notice that it’s distorted slightly.
The alternative is to do the same thing, but put the person on a green screen. That would allow you to change the person without altering the background (so the background could be anything), AND you wouldn’t have to blow-up the image, which would mean a slightly sharper person. Obviously this way would take a bit more effort.
