  • Making slow motion events full length-possible Vegasaur feature?

I have a bunch of 60 fps footage that I’m playing back at 24 fps. I put the footage on the timeline, change the playback rate to .4 on one of the events, copy and paste the event’s attributes to all the other 60 fps footage.

My problem is I have hundreds of events now that need to be extended to their new length, which is over twice as long as the original clip.

I downloaded a trial version of Vegasaur, but I can’t find a feature to extend all the events to their new, longer length. I’ll have to go through them one at a time, which I can do, but it could take an hour or more.

Is there a plugin or extension that will automate this?

Edit: I figured it out, at least the main part. Highlight the events, go to Quick Properties in Vegasaur, change the Playback rate to .4, and select “Adjust length”.

The problem is that now all the events are fading into each other, when I want them to ripple. I tried ctrl f to ripple, but no luck.

Edit: I FOUND IT. It’s Sort Events Chronologically.

For some reason on one group of these events, the fades that are left over from the crossfades are still on the events. Is there a way to automate removing these?

Use Quick Properties > Fades tab as shown in the picture:

    p.s.
You can use Placement tab to arrange/sort/place events in many ways.
Sort Events Chronologically is a special case (most frequently used). It’s a “one-click” command, which means that you can add it to the toolbar and assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

With Excalibur, you can adjust the speed of a clip and have it adjust the length of the clip to match the new speed at the same time.
