  • Making selects using source timeline (consistant crashes)

    Hey Guys,
Much like AVID I much prefer to make my selects using this method:
    1. put all of your rushes into a sequence
    2. drag that sequence into the source monitor
    3. open source in a timeline.
    4. make selects from this timeline into empty sequence.

Problem is I get constant crashes if I try to close a source monitor timeline tab.
probably about 60% of the time. probably 100% if there is more than one source timeline tab open.

Anyone else get this bug? I have reported it numerous times!

Are you tabbing between sequences? Or are you “pancaking” your timelines?

Pancaking so that you can see that the clips are added into the timeline, if you don’t pancake sometimes the clips are not added.
either way it also can crash when you tab between them. Especially when you have a few source timelines running and then try to close them.

Have you ever thought of picking your selects in Prelude? I know this doesn’t address the crashing (which I’m not experiencing and I’ve been cutting news promos all week working exactly as you describe), but tagging all your rushes in Prelude first is damn handy.
