Making objects move/change without progression?
I have some objects in my composition that need to jump to another place or change opacity, but I dont want them to slide over to the next place or slowly get more and more transparent, I need them to to immediately be opaque or immediately be in another spot. But, all I know to do for animation is keyframes, and they dont work in this situation.

You definitely need to use keyframing, but with a different type of interpolation, called Hold Interpolation:

or, you could copy the first keyframe, and paste it one frame before where you want the object to be.
