I have a random arrangement of 2 pixel dots on a jpg with an alpha – what I want to do is ‘stretch’ the dots horizontally so I have a bunch of lines. I tried ‘blur’ and did ‘vertical only’ and somewhat got the results I wanted – but the blur obviously makes it fade down to almost invisible – how do I ‘stretch’ these dots to make visible lines effectively?

try scaling in x about 1000%

your jpgs don’t have an alpha because jpeg doesn’t support alpha channels.
