I would like to make keyboard shortcuts for some foldered effects that I’ve added to my favorite effects list. It seems FCP will only allow me to add 4 effects to my favorites that have keyboard shortcuts.

Is there any way to specify a keyboard shortcut for every effect in my favorites bin?

I composite a lot of effects to Final Cut, so if there is anyway to do this it would be a huge help. Thanks for your input!

Not so with keyboard shortcuts. You can make favorite effects (stacks) within FCP.

Final cut will allow you up to 9 keyboard shortcuts for video filter favorites.

I put a number in front of my fav filter names so I can set which filter correlates to which shortcut number… (e.g. “1- Color Corrector 3-way” with the shortcut alt-command-1) .

It WON’T however let you shortcut folders of favorites, just individual filters. Still, I find that for the majority of repeated effects I use the most to be those 9. Certainly saves a lot of time roaming the mouse around looking through drop-down menus….
