Hi, We’re long time FCP users but can’t seem to remember how to do selects from quicktime files.

We shot in super 16mm and got the film transfered to Apple Pro Rez 444 4HQ. We have 4 very long quicktimes and would like to make our selects of each take from these QT’s. Can anyone please remind us how we create indivudual in and out points out of singular clips without changing the name of the master clip?

    Many Thanks in Advance!!!

    Cheers.

Perhaps you’re thinking of subclips [link]? Set your in and out points, then Modify > Make Subclip (or press Cmd-U).

The frame rate is 24p the footage is 1920X1080. We have Apple Pro Rez Quicktime and I’d like to separate those clips into selects without changing the master Quicktime. I’m not sure what the frame rate would really matter but it’s 24p.
