August 27, 2006 at 6:23 pmthe holes would be like you have drilled through the surface to the inside. I want to be able to shine light from inside the cylinder which then leaks out of it… cheers

August 28, 2006 at 3:13 pmJust thought I’d say that I have completed the tutorial and know how to do it. I am a complete beginner with C4d. thank you very much for you help. I am now less stupid!

August 28, 2006 at 5:38 pmFor future reference, what you asked how to do is found within the first 15 pages of your manual. There are countless different ways to “mak a hole” in something, but you really should take a look at the manual first as it will always have the correct answer when you’re just getting started in C4D.
Good luck!

August 28, 2006 at 8:58 pmIn addition to the manual, which doesn’t always present the clearest approach to a particular problem, this tutorial from 3D Kiwi at c4dcafe.com does a great job of explaining muliple ways of making holes.
