Is there a way to title and separate different expression controllers on one layer? Like have a “Color” Section with all of the color controllers below it?

I’m assuming that that is sarcasm and that there is no way to do that? I could’ve sworn that whenever I install 3rd party plugins they are able to divide the UI or is that a custom made UI for the plugin?

You can. This is called a “pseudo effect.” Unfortunately, the process is not very straightforward.

    This script makes it easier:

But note that even with that script, there’s a somewhat laborious installation process for pseudo effects:

    ‘Sup, fellas?

    That was informative, Walter. Thanks.
Still, I’m curious as to how it works in terms of compatibility. Is a project file containing a layer utilizing a Pseudo Effect universally transferable without requiring installation of additional components? In other words, would that Pseudo Effect instance show as missing on a different machine?

You see, my arrival at this thread was catalyzed by an Ae file with a piece of animation generated using Animation Composer (I assume you’ve heard of it). Interestingly, despite me not having the generator plugin/extension itself installed on my unit, the Pseudo Effect expression control group still shows. I had no idea you could do that. My understanding was that you were limited to just stacking the built-in expression controls from the menu.
    Illuminate, please.

    Thanks.
