Making film and 5D merge well
I am shooting a short film on 16mm film and on a Canon 5D.
What would the optimum settings be for the Digital to make the two formats inter-cuttable in post production and when working in fcp7 how should I approach grading?
I am exporting to SD PAL.
I would appreciate any insight into this matter.

I can’t give you an answer to this other than I’d sure just rent another matching camera. I think otherwise you’re in for more work matching than you save by not renting. They’ll never really look the same unless you really work on both sides of the equation. Shooting and Grading, and even then I doubt they’d match exactly.

Thank you so much for your reply. We have to make use of film and digital, so I will have to make use with what we have.
I am familier with Magic Bullet and Looks as grading options, as well as Color, but could you recommend any other plugin or freeware that I could use to help with the grading?
