Hi there,

Slightly different question… Is there a way to “dump” P2 footage (original footage, i.e. MXF files) onto DVD? My client wants to see “all the footage”. And I’d rather not log and transfer 19 hours of raw footage into FCP.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Only if you are shooting with 4GB cards (DVDs hold 4.7GB) and the have the means to view the MXF files natively on their end.

Or, get Proxymill (https://www.imagineproducts.com) and it will make a bunch of small QT movies with timecode (QT setting of your choosing) so that you can burn those to a data DVD and hand that to them.
