  • Making Crawling Credits in Photoshop?

    Evening All,

I’m having a go at making a crawling credit sequence in Photoshop. I’m attempting this because I’m fed up with the shaky jittery results I get from using FCPs title programme.

So, I’ve made this long long credit sequence as a psd file against a transparent background. It looks great in Photoshop. Two lines of text (one above the other), Myriad Pro font, 24 points, drop shadow, a muted blue colour – just want I want!

I bring it into FCP but it’s tiny. And it’s not transparent – it has a black background. Same results if I export it as a TIFF file with the transparency box checked.

What do I need to do to make it a reasonable size and make it transparent?

    Many thanks,

    Steve.

    Had you tried the Boris3D?

Thanks for the advice – I’ll give it a try.

Meanwhile though – back to the Photoshop method – it is transparent after all, so ignore that bit.

However, when I open the psd file in the viewer it fits the whole thing to the viewer window, and as my file is 26000 x 576 pixels it appears as a very thin band across the screen. If I expand it in the canvas the type pixelates and is unreadable.

    Any ideas?
