I have made a rough cut of a multicam sequence which is approximately 20 minutes long. The sequence is now cut into about 30-40 clips. Is there a way to mark or name each clip so that I can know what each individual clips content is. I need to now move the individual clips around and reorder them to make the final sequence but it is somewhat difficult to remember what is on each clip. If there was a way to now rename each clip or mark them in such a way that I’d be able to see what each clip was it would make it much easier. Any advice?

Yes, right clip on the clip and select rename from the pull down menu

Thanks, That’s a big help. one other question. Can you put marker comments on a multicam clip?

Also can you rename multiple clips at the same time giving them the same name. I’m asking these questions because I’m not sure how to keep all my clips sorted so I can change their order to make my final sequence. If I could put all my cut up clips in a bin with their new names then I could bring them to a new timeline in the order I needed, but to move them around in the timelime when I have 30-40 or more clips gets a little confusing and cumbersome. the footage that I’m cutting is from and interview with about a dozen people who talk back and forth so I need to move clips around quite a bit even after I’ve done a multicam edit of the four cameras that I used. Hope I explained my problem. Any suggestions would help.
