  Making audio robust utilizing FCP7’s filters…

  While I should be using Soundtrack Pro or for that matter Pro Tools, I am still doing my audio tweaks in FCP land. My latest issue is that I had to re-record a short spoken intro due to unusable field audio. The new audio was captured in a room and sounds just like what you’d expect…hollow, echoey, boxy (obviously not an audio person by using that terminology).

  In any case, the section it will replace is in an outdoor location and I’m trying to make it more robust if that’s at all possible. I could just record the section again outdoors on my Zoom, but I’d like to make this one work as it lines up perfectly.

  I was playing with the AU Pitch and the 3 Band Equalizer, not having a clue what I was doing other than sliding stuff around until I noted a slight improvement. Just thought I’d ask the pros.
